Financial Stability Through Career Training: How Rehab Warriors Empowers Veterans for Long-Term Success

Every veteran has a story. A journey shaped by discipline, service, and sacrifice. But when that chapter closes, many face a new battle: finding stable, fulfilling work in a world that often doesn’t understand the skills they bring.

At Rehab Warriors, we don’t just see veterans—we see future leaders, builders, and change agents. Our mission is to help them translate their military experience into civilian careers that offer more than a paycheck—they offer purpose, leadership, and long-term financial security.

The Financial Reality for Transitioning Veterans

Each year, over 200,000 service members transition out of the U.S. military (DOL). But the civilian world isn’t always ready to receive them. According to the National Veterans’ Training Institute, nearly one-third of veteran job seekers are underemployed—a rate 15.6% higher than their non-veteran peers (NVTI).

Even those who do find employment often struggle to land roles that reflect their experience. A recent AARP survey found that 67% of veterans say their civilian jobs did not align with the skills and leadership they developed in service (AARP). And financially, the gap remains. Morgan Stanley research shows that just 40% of veterans feel financially stable within three months of separation—rising only to 48% after three years (Morgan Stanley).

At Rehab Warriors, we’re working to change that.

Since our founding, over 250 veterans have completed our programs. More than 94% graduate with the credentials and skills to enter real estate, construction, and project management careers—many earning starting salaries of $101,000+, with pathways to grow far beyond.

From Combat Boots to Construction Careers

Veterans come to Rehab Warriors from every branch, background, and walk of life—but what unites them is the drive to serve again. This time, through building.

Marc Yañez, a nine-year Army veteran, felt stuck after separating from the military. But once he joined Rehab Warriors’ Apprenticeship Program, things shifted. He earned certifications like OSHA 30 and Procore, and quickly was positioned to step into a role at ICON Custom Homes. “I wasn’t sure where I belonged after I got out,” Marc said. “But Rehab Warriors gave me a mission again—and real leadership opportunities.”

Deundre Armstrong was the kind of learner who needed action, not theory. “I didn’t want to sit in a classroom forever,” he said. Rehab Warriors placed him in the field from day one. Today, he’s managing renovation sites, leading walkthroughs, and coordinating crews—translating his military leadership into civilian success.

And then there’s Joe Bononcini, who didn’t just join a company—he helped build a new division. Joe is now laying the groundwork for a brand-new renovation unit at John Crawford Homes in Florida. From trench inspections to client scheduling, he’s proving that veterans don’t need to start at the bottom—they just need the right opportunity.

These are not exceptions. These are the outcomes we’re committed to delivering.

More Than a Program A Pathway That Lasts

Financial stability isn’t just about getting hired—it’s about building a future you’re proud of. One with options, ownership, and security. Whether it's buying your first home, supporting your family, or launching your own business, Rehab Warriors provides more than a job. We offer a roadmap to lasting success.

Our graduates step into roles across the real estate development ecosystem—project management, compliance, field operations, business strategy—and they’re making an impact. They’re not just filling roles; they’re transforming how companies lead, operate, and grow.

But what truly sets us apart is what happens after training.

We don’t disappear once the class ends. We walk with each veteran through job placement, mentorship, and long-term career development.

Community That Feels Like Home

One of the hardest parts of leaving the military is losing the sense of camaraderie. We bring it back. Veterans train alongside other veterans. They’re mentored by instructors who’ve served. And they graduate into a network that continues to support, guide, and believe in them.

Rehab Warriors doesn’t just offer a training program. It offers a community. A mission. A new chapter—with the structure, purpose, and momentum veterans deserve.
